The forklift truck has a chassis with arms equipped with wheels and a vertical mast up and down which the forks travel on a slide. The mast (5) hinges on the chassis by means of a polygon linkage (7, 9, 10), and the fork prongs (6) fold parallel to the mast. The design allows the mast to be folded flat for transport of the truck by lorry etc.
