<p>The pressure-reducer system is for a gass-operated cigarette lighter. It consists of a porous membrane (9a) with a ring (14) made of distorting material bearing against its upstream face, which is not covered by a fibrous cloth, so that the inner ring perimeter defines the useful surface of the membrane. Devices not accessible to the user are designed to precompress the ring on assembly so as to give a maximum useful surface corresponding to the maximum gas flow, while others which are accessible allow distortion of the ring to reduce this surface.</p> |
