A decorative boss (1) for use in a bathroom for holding towels is a attached to a wall without displaying any unsightly screws. A short strap (3) with a central tapped hole (5)is first fixed to the wall by screws through the holes (4). The boss (1) is then attached to the strap (3) by a screw (2) which screws into the hole (5). The head of the screw (2) has a tapped hole (6) to receive a second screw (7) with a decorative head (8). The boss (1) is prevented from rotating by internal recesses which fit over the ends of the strap (3).
