<p>A fixed frame has an axle and towing arm. It supports fixed grids at the front and on each side and a grid at the rear which can be folded back for unloading. On the front a ramp can be folded up to retain the bales for transport. Bales are fed on to frame, four bales forming a row which is then pushed to one side by arms operated by a jack to allow entry and formation of the next row. When the platform is full it is raised by a jack and scissor links. Clamps retain the layer of bales in the raised position, and the platform lowers to form and raise successive layers.</p> |
