Polyester die heads for pultrusion of thermosetting resins - to permit microwave heating of the extrudate

Dies for extrusion of filled thermosetting resin compsns. are made from polyester moulding material, to allow the material passing through the die to be heated by microwave heating, which is not feasible if metal dies are used. Cast polyester mouldings are cheaper for mfr. of relatively complex extrusion die profiles, esp. for routine replacement of dies worn out during extrusion of abrasive materials.
