PYROELECTRIC TYPE INFRARED DETECTION ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To facilitate the leading-out of an electrode terminal, by applying indium metal as adhesive between an immersion lens and as aid in leading the electrode terminal out of the pyroelectric element. CONSTITUTION:Indium metal 12 is deposited thin previously at an immersion lens (infrared condenser lens) 10 and at a part of earth electrode 14 infrared incident surface side of a pyroelectric element (pyroelectric type infrared detection element) 11 and both are thermally welded. Thus, immersion lens 10 and the pyroelectric element 11 can be set very close to each other. This minimized the loss of focused infrared rays and facilitates the leading-out of the terminal from the earth electrode 14.
