The spoon inside compartment is covered by a flexible lid (3) which can change the compartment content volume. The compartment contains at least one of the components (8) that have to be mixed to form the impression material. The other component is added via opening(s) (10) which are re-sealed before mixing takes place. The lid is deformable to accommodate the added component. Alternatively, both components may be included and separated by a rupturable membrane. Rupture and mixing may take place using finger pressure on the flexible cover. The cover is removed when the impression is to be taken.
