The vessel is for the storage of a juice or wine and houses an expanding balloon (8). As the medium (9) is discharged from this vessel, the balloon fills and the empty space so formed. A device can be provided to inflate the balloon, typically a compressor (3), hand-operated bellows etc., and the balloon can be fitted to the uppermost point (10') of the vessel (10). The internal pressure in the balloon can be used to regulate the discharge rate of the medium.
