<p>The anchor element e.g. a threaded rod (4), is installed in a blind overhead hole (1) by adhesive. The adhesive required is contained in a closed capsule (3). To retain the capsule in its overhead location hole (1), a strip of self adhesive tape (5) is placed over the hole. The tape can be made from paper, plastic or some textile fabric and it is supplied on a reel. A hammer drill (7) with the anchor rod (4) located in its chuck (6) is then used to push the rod (4) through the sealing tape (5). As the adhesive capsule is broken, the anchor rod reaches its final location where it will be held when the adhesive has hardened.</p> |
