Closing plug for armoured vehicle wall penetrations - has sealing effect and ensures ballistic protection by armoured reinforcement inserts

The closing plug seals penetration within the armoured housing of military vehicles. The plug seals openings which accommodate e.g. optical equipment removed e.g. for training purposes. The plug ensures ballistic protection despite its elasticity. The closing plug (6) fitting into the penetration has reinforcement ensuring the required ballistic protection. The plug part held in the penetration has sealing lips (11) which are tightly pressed against the associated wall of the penetration or the armoured housing. The reinforcement consists of replaceable steel armour inserts.
