When a circuit board having an incorporated edge connector is plugged into a live socket connector there is a danger that a circuit on the board will be destroyed, e.g. by the application of a signal voltage to a MOS gate which is un-powered. A two-stage insertion of the board (1) into its socket can avoid this danger by ensuring that circuits (5, 6) are connected successively in a safe order. This is provided by the incorporation of at least one cutout opposite a portion of the contacts of the board's edge connector. <IMAGE> |
