The combined record player and radio receiver has the radio receiver located in a hinged section above the record player. The hinged section forms the lid and has controls along its front face for the receiver. The record player controls are fitted along the front of the base section. A cassette tape recorder may be located in the base section next to the record player. The advantage lies in using the section containing the receiver as a lid for the record player -- i.e. the latter requires no separate lid of its own as it would if it were located above the receiver.
