Detachable intermediate track (2) is mounted in the curtain track (1) where it is held in the same plane and at the same time centred with the track (1) by a retaining bracket (3) whose arms (4) engage round both the track (1) and the intermediate member (2). The length of the intermediate member (2) corresponds to a gathered curtain and the angled arms which are wider than the web of the bracket are fastened by bolts which engage in bores provided at either end of the intermediate part. The retaining bracket which is made of spring steel or a resilient plastics can be mounted on the curtain track (1) or can be fastened to the ceiling adjoining the track. The curtain runners can be fitted into the intermediate part (2) of the track whilst standing on the ground so that only this intermediate part has then to be fitted into the main curtain track for which only the arms of the bracket need be bent down.
