Anti-friction mixt. contains, by wt., (a) 0.1-10% m-carborane-contg. polyamide having mol. wt. 25,000-100,000 and made up of structural units of formula -OC-CB10H10C-CONH-R-NH- (where R is -p-C6H4, m-C6H4-, of formula (I):- (where X is a covalent bond, -O-, -CH2-, -SO2- or S) or of formula (II):- ; and (b) 90-99.9% graphite and/or MoS2; or consists of a mixt. contg. 0.1-10% (a), 15.5-89.9% (b) and opt. (c) 10-74.5% aromatic polyamide have mol. wt. 2000-150000 and made up of structural units of formula -OC-R'-CONH-R"-NH- (where R' is -p-C6H4, m-C6H4-; R"=R, or of formula (III)-(VI) The mixts. can be used for roller bearing cages, journal bearing bushings, brushing, transmission gear parts and other materials operated in dry-friction units without the use of liq. or consistent lubricants, e.g. electrovacuum installations, electronic instruments, appts. used in food industry, and installations exposed to high temps., aggressive media, vacuum or radiation.
