The up-and-over door leaf (100), such as is used, for example, in garages, is guided on both sides. It (100) is to be safeguarded against falling down in the event of a rope break. Catching arms (3), which are under spring force (12) during normal operation and which are provided with gripping teeth (8) or gripping claws, serve as a rope-break safeguard. These catching arms (3) are held in the position of rest by means of the tension of the carrying rope (6) guided round on the underside of the door leaf. If the carrying rope (6) breaks, the catching arms (3) pivot outwards relative to the plane of the door leaf under the effect of the springs (12) and are wedged in lateral stationary running rails (18) of the up-and-over door. This ensures that the falling door leaf (100) is stopped immediately. <IMAGE> |
