A projectile (G), having rotation generating flow channels (20), is intended particularly for shooting from a smooth gun barrel (R) and comprises a body (30) having guiding elements (32, 33). The guiding elements (32, 33) are provided with flow channels (20) that on their opening side have a part with a decreasing section followed by a bottle-neck and thereafter a part with an increasing section located downstream. The flow of driving gas through the flow channels (20) gives a rotation effect to the projectile (G). The center line of the flow channels in the increasing section part run, either straight or slightly curved, askew at a distance from the projectile's center line (22). Furthermore, looking downstream, the internal walls of the increasing section part have a convex and/or straight shape and/or, at the most, slightly concave. |
