PURPOSE:To orient a liquid crystal and to obtain an insulating characteristic by sandwiching and organic high polymer film which is drawn in one axial direction between two glass substrates where liquid crystal is sandwiched. CONSTITUTION:The organic high polymer film 5 which is drawn in one axial direction is sandwiched between the glass substrates 1 and 3 whereat the liquid crystal 7 is sandwiched. Namely, since the molecule structure of the high polymer film 5 which is used as an oriented film is linear, the force for orientating the liquid crystal molecules is strong and the liquid crystal 7 is, therefore, oriented excellently. Consequently, electrodes 4 and 6 provided to the upper and lower substrates 1 and 3 are prevented from short-circuiting and the liquid crystal molecules are oriented at the same time. |
