The invention relate to new 3-arylaminocarbonyl-4-hydroxy-2H-naptho2,1-e!-1,2-thiazine -1,1-dioxides which possess interesting pharmacological properties and, in particular, in general good antiphlogistic properties and/or a strong inhibitory effect on platelet adhesion and aggregation. Several processes for the preparation of these compounds are described and exemplified. Examples of pharmaceutical compositions containing the new compounds are also given.
