<p>A disc brake pad comprises an organic friction material layer and an organic backplate layer. Both layers are formed of pulverulent materials compacted into "green" preforms at a pressure of 80-150 bars, which are then placed in a mold where heat and pressure are applied to create the integral disc brake pad. Both layers use the same resin and they may even be of identical composition.</p> |
