1304487 Aliphatic and cycloaliphatic 1,3- disubstituted thioureas GLANZSTOFF AG 19 April1971 [28March 1970] 25088/71 Heading C2C Aliphatic and cycloaliphatic 1,3-disubstituted symmetrical thioureas are prepared by reacting a primary aliphatic or cycloaliphatic amine with carbon disulphide in the presence of active charcoal. The reaction is preferably carried out in the presence of an inert solvent using a molar ratio of amine to CS 2 of from 3 : 1 to 1 : 1 at a temperature of from 20 to 250‹C. Examples describe the preparation of N,N<SP>1</SP>-di-n-butyl thiourea, N,N<SP>1</SP>-di-cyclohexyl thiourea, N,N<SP>1</SP>- di-n-hexyl thiourea, N,N<SP>1</SP>-di-n-hexyldecyl thiourea, N,N<SP>1</SP>-di-isopropyl thiourea, and N,N<SP>1</SP>-ditertbutyl thiourea. |
