1438827 Plastic moulded fasteners ITW Ltd 12 Aug 1974 [13 Aug 1973] 38229/73 Heading E2B [Also in Division F2] A one-piece plastics moulded fastener comprises two parallel flanges 22, 24 lying perpendicular to and connected by a plurality of spaced struts 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, and a self-locking fastening e.g. 40, extending from each flange 22, 24, in a direction away from the struts. The embodiment shows each self-locking fastening 40 in the form of a cylindrical wall e.g. 30, with two barbs 36, 38, each surrounded by a U-shaped gap e.g. 42, Fig. 2. The fastener may be moulded from any non-brittle plastics material; polypropylene is mentioned. |
