<p>The lock is fitted to the door of a building under construction and is opened with a temporary site key. When the building is completed, several additional wards are released, the door being then opened with a final occupancy key, the site key being no longer operative. In the case of the site key, some of the wards constituting the locking mechanism are held by a pin fitting into recesses in the wards. In the final state, this pin is knocked out to release the immobilised wards. The use of a pin does not permit a false key to be made.</p> |
