<p>The modulator is for use in a system with synchronous and asynchronous receivers. It has a source (26) of a first carrier signal; inputs (10, 12) for a first and second source signal, and devices (16) for the first carrier signal modulation with the first and second source signal in order to obtain a modulated composite signal with two phase components. The phase components are shifted by an angle not exceeding 40 deg. and not smaller than 20 deg.; so that the composite modulated signal is suitable for reception by synchronous and asynchronous receivers.</p> |
