Combined wind-motor and solar energy collector - which incorporates solar collector superposed on wind-motor with horizontal blades, maximising power output together or separately

Appts. for making the max. use of wind energy and solar energy, simultaneously or separately, incorporates, on the same support, coupled wind-motors with horizontal blades and a fixed solar energy collector. The powers of the wind-motors are added. The solar collector is of polygonal structure, pref. oriented east and west. The wind-motors take up little height, so that the solar collector can be superposed on them. The mechanical coupling is obtd. by bevel gears and a countershaft. Arrangement avoids problems associated with existing wind-motors with vertical blades, e.g. that they cannot be coupled mechanically and that they are unstable and unaesthetic, and with existing solar collectors, which do not absorb solar rays to the max extent. It allows max. power to be obtd. by these two means together or separately, combined or not combined.
