The machine is for the hyperthermal treatment of human blood to combat carcinomas. The blood is circulated through the machine and heated by means of electromagnetic waves. The blood can be heated to minimum and maximum temperatures of 311 and 315 deg.K. respectively, the temperature being electronically controlled to within 0.05 deg.K. In the event of incorrect operation it can be so arranged as to allow blood to flow through at normal body temperature.
