A two-part safety button has a top piece (1) with a cylindrical central part (2). The latter constitutes the inner boundary of an annular recess (4) which is composed of a cylindrical guide gap (6) and a holding groove (7). Located opposite the top piece (1) is a bottom piece (9) with a bottom plate (10) which is of circular design and is the bearer of four pins (11, 12, 13), the fourth pin being invisible in front of the plane of the drawing. At their free ends, these pins (11, 12, 13) have barb tips (16). The latter are pressed into the recess (4) during assembly and held in the holding groove (7). When a material (17) has been pierced by the pins (11 to 13) and the fourth pin, their barb tips (16) are introduced into the annular recess (4) and anchored there, the tips on the inner surface of the groove being bent over. This button does not stress the material and it can nevertheless be fastened thereon without difficulty. <IMAGE>
