PURPOSE:To make possible high-speed printing with a delayed response printing head by processing dot information, as specified, of printing data and controlling a printing pin driven in (n-2)th or (n-1)th column in such a manner that said pin is not driven in (n)th column. CONSTITUTION:Printing data in (n)th column is stored in the third register 19, and its bit information becomes a signal for driving a printing head 13, based on a logic product obtained between said bit information and a nondisjunction output of dot information of a printing pin driven in (n-2)th column stored in the first register 17 and dot information of a printing pin driven in (n-1)th column stored in the second register 18. At the same time, the bit information becomes information for updating the contents of the first register 17 and the second register 18. As described above, the dots printed in (n-2)th and (n-1)th columns are not printed in (n)th column. Therefore, each pin of the printing head is driven, at most, at an interval of every two columns, and the required response frequency is reduced to 1/3. That is, the printing speed can be increased by up to 3 times. |
