The outlet pipe for a liq. container, such as a coffee-making machine, has a vertical outlet(12) open underneath. On a level with the outlet plane(13) of the outlet nozzle(12) is a rim(14) which varies in height. The nozzle can also incorporate a deflector piece at the outlet level of the liquid. At least one part of the periphery of the outlet rim(14) is a gap, or a piece which is set back, or a protuberance, or incision(15). Inside the nozzle(12) and protruding from the outlet plane of the liquid there may be a guide pin. Alternatively the guide pin can be positioned behind the outlet plane(13) and inside the nozzle(12). The outlet rim(14) is rounded. The design prevents a drip which forms at the outlet after use from bursting and splashing the container.
