Optical fibre cable with spacers - has optical transmission elements running along core and arranged on core circumference

The optical litre cable has a core (1) and the transmission elements (2) are stranded around the core. The cable also consists of thread-shaped elements (3). The dia. of these thread-shaped separating elements is larger than the dia. of the optical-litre transmission elements. The dia. is pref. at least large enough for there still to be sufficient freedom of movement for the optical fibres when the space between two adjacent separating elements is bridged. A covering layer (4) seals off towards the outside the spaces formed between the separating elements.
