The mould rests on a segment ring which is enclosed by clamping ring. Between the segment and clamping rings is formed a ring chamber which can be pressurised. The mould is uniformly clamped, so that no pressures are generated which tend to push the mould plates apart. The ring chamber(11) can be pressurised hydraulically or pneumatically, e.g. by water, oil or gas. A number of pressurised ring chambers(11) can be stacked. The segment ring(2, 3) is fixed in axial direction by the prongs(13) between the ring chambers(11) and this segment ring is guided in a radial direction.
