Calcium sulphate hemihydrate plaster slurry comprising a set-inhibiting agent, for example, a polymer or copolymer of an acid having the formula R1HC=CR2-COOH wherein R1 and R2 are hydrogen or methyl. The invention also includes a method of rapid setting of the inhibited slurry by mixing therewith a promoter comprising a salt of iron, copper or aluminium. |
