<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the interval of music at the time of recording and reproducing by executing the digital processing of TOC information and channel information with a system controller and executing a search when the interval of the music is decided to be longer than a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:In a digital recording and reproducing device, a system controller 15 reads a time T to the head of the next music from a pertinent surface which is obtained with the TOC information. Next, together with the start of play, time information (an absolute address) Q, of the pertinent music is read. When a T-Q1 is within the prescribed time, it is discriminated by a music end discriminating means 15a. When the end of the music is discriminated, a level at such a time is read and a silent condition is decided by a decision starting means 15b. When the silent condition is detected longer than the prescribed time, it is discriminated by a music interval discriminating means 15c. Next, Q data Q2 of the pertinent music are read and when a T-Q2 is longer than the prescribed time, the search is executed by a search command 15d. Thus, the time of the music interval can be shortened.</p> |
