<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the optimum adhesiveness of a blade with an outer skin while holding the endurance of the blade itself, by forming the blade (reticulated tube) by braiding a specific number of fiber bundles and setting the total of the widths of the fiber bundles to a specific ratio with respect to the total length of an outer peripheral line. CONSTITUTION:A blade 8 is formed by braiding 32 bundles each composed of a unit fiber bundle 13 consisting of 5 metal wires 11 having the almost same diameter and 3 non-metal fibers 12. When the blade 8 thus formed is observed on the basis of one unit fiber bundle 13, the ratio of the total of the widths of the respective fiber bundles on the outer peripheral line of the cross parts of the unit fiber bundles 13 vertical to the axial direction of a flexible tube 4 to the entire length of the outer peripheral line is set to 73-80% to form gap parts 14. In the flexible tube 4 thus constituted for an endoscope, the bonding parts of the non-metal fibers 12 to an outer skin 9 are subdivided and the bondability further reduced in irregularity of the blade 8 and the outer skin 9 is obtained aid the gap parts 14 are sufficiently secured and the movement of the unit fiber bundle 13 to the bending of the flexible tube 4 is not restrained and smooth curving can be obtained.</p> |
