<p>Device for cutting-off the weld bead on plastics welding seams, esp. welding seams of window profiles, has 2 cutter plates whose cutting edges bear upon the surface of the profile and whose cutting line lies above the welded gap. the cutter plates are adapted to opening and closing motions, via lever arrangements. Novelty is that the cutter mount and cutter plate follow the movement of the machine table; the welded article being first pressed together, the cutter spar then being advanced, and the weld bead being finally severed. The device, as claimed, is integrated into the working table of the welding machine, thus facilitating trouble free operation and enabling operation to be controlled by the function of the welding machine. This is achieved by cooperation of cutter mount and plates with the movement of the machine table, followed by severing step.</p> |
