<p>A gear-box for vehicles has two planet gears connected one behind the other, the input component which is a central wheel combing with the planet wheels, and the output component is the planet wheel carrier. At least two friction disc couplings are provided for prodn. of direct drive. The first planet gear has at least two sets of teeth with dias. of varying size, which comb each with an outer toothed central wheel which can be braked at will. The input component i.e. central wheel, is inner toothed which combs with the toothing of the largest dia. The second planet gear has a further central wheel toothed counterwise to the input component. Each planet gear has one of the friction couplings, fitted to it, and all brakes are friction-disc type, operated by servo-motors.</p> |
