The voltage control device consists of a transductor and a transformer sharing the same core to form a single unit of reduced weight, lower cost and greater efficiency. The core has two identical narrow limbs adjacent to one another and two broad limbs adjacent to one another. The control winding(s) of the transductor is wound around the two narrow limbs. The secondary winding is wound in the same sense around the outer broad limb and the primary winding in the opposite sense around the inner broad limb.
