Guide for coal cutter pulled by guided chain - has metal plate between guide forks to cover chain channels for tugging and return strands

The guide is for an extraction machine, esp. a coal plough or cutter in a mine, pulled by a guided chain. The chain is guided in separate channels for the pulling and return strands. The guide pieces separating the channels form guide forks with the remaining parts of the guide channel in hawse fashion. The guide forks connected to the conveyor but disconnected from the neighbouring guide pieces. A metal plate is installed between the guide forks to cover the chain channels. The plate (4) extends into a drawer guide that is limited in its depth of penetration. A screw (8) prevents displacement of the plate (4).
