PURPOSE:To obtain a reference reproduction phase free of the influence of overdubbing by reproducing phases of a tape run from synchronizing marks of plural tracks, and delaying a signal to be recorded by a prescribed time in case of the overdubbing. CONSTITUTION:Synchronizing marks of plural tracks are detected by synchronizing mark detecting circuits 811, 812 ... to trigger corresponding single marks 821, 822 ..., and the synchronizing mark of one of those tracks is detected through an AND gate 803 to reproduce the reference phase of a tape run. Therefore, when a signal to be recorded is recorded with prescribed-time delay during overdubbing, the reference reproduction phase free of the influence of the overdubbing is obtained even if the overdubbing causes a shift in position between tracks, thus, accurate information reproduction is performed. |
