The capacitor consists of stacked insulating layerS, with metal surfaces between them. Self-supporting dielectric plates (1', 1") are coated with metal layers (5) on both sides (3). A metal foil strip (2) is fastened to each metal layer (5), and both strips (2) form continuous structures folded between the dielectric plates (1', 1") and projecting in an arc from two opposite lateral surfaces (4). The doubled thickness of the dielectric films is formed by folding them through an angle of 180 deg. electrical connections are made by an end terminal wire welded on. An insulating coating (7) is applied later.
