Indolinols of formula (I) and their acid-addn. salts are new: (where R1 is 3-Cl and R2 is Me, 2-hydroxyethyl ro phenethyl; or R1 is 4-OH and R2 is Me; or R1 is H and R2 is 2,6-dichlorobenzyl). Five cpds. including (3aRS,4SR, 7aRS)-hexahydro-1-(beta-hydroxyethyl)-4-m-chlorophenyl-4-indolino- l and (3a, RS, 4SR, 7ARS)-hexanhydro-1-phenethyl-4-m-chlorophenyl-4-indolinol are specially claimed. (I) are antidepressant and antiarrhythmic agents. |
