PURPOSE:To obtain pressure-sensitive copy paper not lowered in copying capacity and generating no stroke through of ink by providing a hiding layer to at least one of the front and rear surfaces of a support. CONSTITUTION:A hiding layer is provided to at least one of the front and rear surfaces of the support in pressure-sensitive copy paper utilizing the color forming reaction of an electron donating leuco dye with an electron acceptive coupler. In this case, since the hiding layer is formed to the support by a coating method, a basis weight may be reduced and coping capacity is not lowered. Further, since no pigment is added to the support, the strength of paper is not also lowered. Inorg. or org. pigment low in the transmissivity of visible light is used in the hiding layer and, for example, as the inorg. pigment, zinc calcium carbonate, clay or the like can be designated and, as the org. pigment, a fine particle of polypropylene or polyethylene can be designated. As the binder for fixing the pigment to the support, styrene/butadiene latex, starch or the like are used. The paint of the hiding layer is prepared by adding the pigment to a solution prepared by dissolving a polycarboxylic acid type dispersant to diffuse the same and subsequently adding the binder thereto. |
