This invention relates to a composition of matter for use in agriculture comprising as active ingredient an aluminum hydroxy chloride being a thixotropic microcrystalline aluminum chloride oxide hydrate having an atomic ratio of aluminum to chlorine of from 5 to 1 to 6 to 1 and containing said active material in a concentration of about 3 to 20 per cent by weight. The invention further relates to a process producing a composition as mentioned above, and to a process for the protection of agricultural products which comprises applying the above-mentioned composition by spraying, dipping or brushing. |
