PURPOSE:To exactly recognize a curved path by measuring the time required by a steering wheel to vary from one specific angle to a neutral position to the other specific angle or the interval of the distance. CONSTITUTION:A general computer 25 is provided so as to control the operation of a suspension 21, a power steering gear 22, a steering gear ratio changing device 24, and an automatic speed change gear 2. The computer 25 inputs a signal from a vehicle speed sensor 7, a signal from a brake sensor 26 for detecting the brake pressure of a brake master cylinder 20, and a signal from the steering angle sensor 27 for the steering wheel 23 to a CPU 29 to recognize the curved path and performs control based upon the result according to the processing program in a memory 30. Then the CPU 29 measures the time required by the steering wheel 23 to vary from one specific angle to the neutral position to the other specific angle or the interval of the distance, and decides the curved path when those mean values are smaller than a specific value. |
