A photographic silver halide light-sensitive material having at least one hydrophilic colloid layer containing (a) gelatin and/or a gelatin derivative and (b) at least one compound represented by the following general formula (I) or (II): <IMAGE> (I) <IMAGE> (II) wherein Y represents a vinyl group; A represents a divalent group; R, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and n is 0 or 1. The compounds of the general formulas (I) and (II) are novel class of gelatin hardeners which are particularly suitable for use in silver halide photographic light-sensitive materials.
