PURPOSE:To obtain a plate brick having excellent spalling resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidizing resistance and sufficient mechanical strength by constituting the refractory material with layer using silicone resin as binder at sliding face side and layer using phenol resin as binder at back face side. CONSTITUTION:Sintered alumina, clay and carbon powder are blended under adjusting the grain sizes and the phenol resin is used as the binder and they are kneaded. The kneaded material is packed into a metallic mold, and on this, kneaded material using the silicone resin as the binder to the refractory material having the same blending as the above, is packed and after forming, heating treatment is executed. The first layer 1 is the layer constituted with the kneaded material using the phenol resin as the binder and the second layer 2 is the layer constituted with the kneaded material using the silicone resin as the binder. By this method, the SN brick is economically imparted with the oxidizing resistance on the sliding face and improved in durability without any adverse influence on slidability, corrosion resistance and spalling resistance. |
