<p>The tube-cutting tool operates by gripping a rotated tube between a cutting wheel (9) and a plain roller (11), and also incorporates a chamfering wheel (10). The cutting wheel (9) has a more acute angle than the chamfering wheel (10). The angle of the chamfering wheel (10) is determined by the degree of bevel required and may be between 70 deg. and 90 deg. The axle (8) of the chamfering wheel (10) may be mounted on the body (1) of the cutter, and the axles (6, 7) of the roller (11) and the cutting wheel (9) may be mounted on the slide (4) which is advanced by screw-jack (2, 3).</p> |
