The exchange (1) builds connections between systems with different operating conditions, connected through connecting devices controlled by a central control processor. Command decoders for tripping switching processes or for signal storage are allocated to connecting devices and to additional processing devices for testing entitlement, routing, number evaluation, data storage etc. Their inputs are parallel with each other and connected to a bunch of coding wires coming from the control processor. An address decoder for marking the command decoder to be operated is connected to a bunch of address wires coming from the control processor.
