<p>The cultivator has rows of tools which ate movable forwards and backwards from their normal working positions. The tools are linked together in such a way that when one tool is deflected to the rear by an obstacle in the soil, the others are pushed forwards. The tools (28, 29, 30) are pivoted to a tool frame (20) and each has a lever arm (32) connected by pivot (35) to the rod (34) of a hydraulic ram (33). The rams are interconnected with little or no throttling. Each tool has holes (43) receiving pairs of blades (44) in V-formation. The blades may be partly curved and provided with vertical fins extending longitudinally.</p> |
