A device for homogenizing liquid and viscous substances consists of a high pressure pump (13) with a crank drive and at least one piston (14), running in a cylinder (17) and driven by connecting rods (8) and push rods (9), and a homogenization device (5) located on the cylinder block (17) of the high pressure pump (3) and connected to this cylinder via an intermediary chamber (4) that must be opened. The homogenization device (5) has a two-piece homogenization head (37) consisting of a cylinder sleeve (40) with a smooth walled let-through opening of conical shape (43), outwardly oriented, a plunger located in this opening and held and guided by axial pretension and guiding elements (44) arranged in special slots (45) in the sleeve, the plunger itself being a massive body (62) of basically blunt conical shape (62) and having in axial sequence ring-like flanges (63) whose periphery touches in each case the wall of the let-through opening (43). |
