<p>An UV radiator is applied as a sunlamp and fitted with a reflector is used for sterilising and/or bleaching laundry items in a domestic washer or dryer. The radiator is not permanently built into the window so that there is no danger of overheating the glass and pptn. onto it of washing chemicals to make it opaque. Risk of an electric shock from a broken conductor is also eliminated. A fitting with a connecting socket is easily attached to the door and the radiator and its reflector are only plugged in after the washing stage is completed. The window is of a material transparent to US radiation, coated in: side and the contacts of the reflector are protected by a spring-loaded cover when unplugged.</p> |
